Birr Castle Easter Family Quest
Birr Castle Easter Family Quest: An alternative Easter Egg Hunt
Stunning family day out at Birr Castle Gardens & Science Centre Easter Holidays 24 March – 08 April 2018
For anyone interested in nature, discovery and adventure, Birr Castle Gardens & Science Centre has a real treat in store this Easter break. The new Birr Castle Easter Family Quest which is an alternative to the traditional Easter Egg Hunt will take young, and maybe not so young, explorers on a journey through time, from great engineering feats to wildlife discoveries, and many more highlights in between. Once the young explorers complete the quest they return to the playground kiosk for their Easter treat.
The gardens of Birr Castle are home to the Great Telescope built in 1845 which remained the largest in the world for over 70 years. The galleries of the Science Centre cover the remarkable feats of the Parsons family, their inventions and discoveries. Whilst the world’s tallest box hedge can be found in the formal gardens it’s best not to forget the tallest treehouse in Ireland which is located in the Treehouse Adventure Playground.
Birr Castle Gardens is spoken about by visitors from all over the world, as a magical place. Created over generations it is an environmental and scientific time capsule, a living breathing, evolving place of beauty and inspiration.
