The Hunting Lodge accommodation, also known as The School House, dates back to as early as 1700s. It has been lovingly restored, keeping the original architectural features and mindfully decorated with an eye for detail. The Hunting Lodge accommodation offers peace and tranquility in abundance and is the perfect place to stay, unwind, relax and listen to bird song. A truly luxurious, tranquil and homely atmosphere for accommodation guests to enjoy. The Hunting Lodge is a closed-off wing of the main residence. The entrance opens to a long kitchen and a spiral staircase that leads to two large bedrooms and a bathroom with full size walk-in shower. The beds are luxurious and comforting. Downstairs is a cosy sitting room with a wood burning stove and off that a single room and bathroom. The rooms are all spacious with high ceilings and plenty of light. Individual features such as exposed beams and stonework, restored antique furniture, beautiful Irish handmade pottery, designer rugs and throws add to the luxury country house feel.
The newest addition to the Mount Briscoe glamping experience is glamping accommodation in The Shepard’s Hut. The Hut is situated in the orchard close to the main house and Hunting Lodge. The only company you have are cows, horses, birdsong and the stars! The Shepard’s Hut glamping accommodation is ideal for couples; it has a retro, cosy feel and is bright and airy with lots of windows that bring the outside in. The hut is kitted out with lovely soft furnishings; plush duvets and luxury bed linens, as well as electric lights; all which remind you that this is luxury glamping not camping! There is a fire pit which doubles up very nicely as a BBQ, so you can cook a meal while you relax in the countryside. A breakfast hamper that arrives every morning to put your day of relaxation on the right track. A perfect glamping break for couples or a solo traveller wanting to unwind. This little gem makes for a cosy, colourful and chic staycation in Ireland.
