You don’t have to be a whiskey drinker to enjoy a trip to the Tullamore D.E.W. Visitor Centre
You don’t have to be a whiskey drinker to enjoy a trip to the Tullamore D.E.W. Visitor Centre, situated on the banks of the Grand Canal, inside the same 19th century bonded warehouse where this now world-famous whiskey was first matured some 185 years ago. The first production of the whiskey now known as “Tullamore Dew” was in 1829. The name came from the initials of the man who later owned the distillery and took this produce to the rest of the world - Mr. Daniel Edmond Williams.
Like the whiskey, the Visitor Centre is for those who want a taste of the exceptional. It’s for those who search for hidden depths, embrace discovery and put their faith in the genuine. Guided tour blends audio-visual with good old fashioned storytelling from expert guides and finishes with a tipple of the legendary beverage itself (but only if you want to!).
