Lough Boora Discovery Park
A natural wonderland the whole family can enjoy!!
First of all, don’t let the word “park” fool you - this is no ordinary grassy space. This vast, unique stretch of bogland is home to a spectacular collection of massive outdoor sculptures, and a sanctuary to countless species of birds, water-foul and fish. In fact, there’s so much to see, why not bring a picnic and make a day of it!

Kick-off your family’s Lough Boora adventure at the Visitor’s Pavilion and rent bikes for the whole family. Then take it at your own pace, round the 22km of nature-trails, including the recently opened Fairy Avenue. Watch out for fast-moving hares that skip across the paths as you cycle by and don’t forget to stop-off at one of the many bird-hides for a glimpse of our feathered-friends up close and personal. You could say that at Lough Boora, nature puts on a show 365 days a year. Be there for one of them!
Experience all that Lough Boora Discovery Park has to offer outdoor enthusiasts, keen botanists, nature lovers, and arts and culture fans including:
