Craftlink – Connecting Creative Communities
Official Opening Friday 12th January, 5.30pm
Murmuration is a collection of work created collaboratively by 16 talented designers, makers and artists from Offaly, Westmeath, and Finland.
The work within Murmuration is deeply intertwined with the rich mythology of both Ireland and Finland. Each piece reflects a deep personal connection to self, a reverence for nature, and a celebration of cultural heritage. It is a testament to the fact that, regardless of our cultural differences, we are all profoundly influenced by folklore, stories, our individual journeys, our well-being, and the profound inspiration we draw from the natural world and our creative expression.
As part of the Murmuration exhibition, Esker Arts will host a number of Craftlink workshops, including bridéog making, landscape painting, watercolour painting, and eco rag doll making, with artists Teresa Doyle, Hazel Greene, Claire Guinan and others.
Further details on all workshops available soon.
Murmuration runs until Saturday 2nd March.
Admission: Free, all welcome
Craftlink was developed by Offaly Local Development Company, Westmeath Community Development, Rieska & Keskipiste Leader (Finland) and funded through the LEADER Rural Development Programme.
