Who we are and why do we require your information?

Visit Offaly is the official voice of tourism in Offaly. Offaly Tourism Martketing CLG is a marketing group dedicated to promoting the county as an attractive destination to visit. 

What is personal data/information?

Personal data is any information that can identify an individual person. This includes a name, an ID number, a postal address, online browsing history, images or anything related to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of a person.

Why do we have a privacy statement?

This privacy statement has been created in order to demonstrate our commitment to privacy and to assure you that in all your dealings with the Offaly Tourism Marketing CLG, we will ensure the security of the data you provide to us.

The organisation creates, collects and processes a significant amount of personal data in various multiple formats on a daily basis. The organisations commitment to you is that the personal data you supply to us is:

  • Obtained for only specified, explicit and legitimate purposes

What personal data do we need?

The types of personal data you may be asked to supply can be categorised as follows:

  • Contact details to allow for efficient communication
  • Details of your personal circumstances which you are required by law to supply as part of your application for a service offered by the organisation.

Contact Details

In order to communicate with you, you will be asked for contact details. You do not have to provide all contact details but providing more, such as email, phone, address, makes it easier to communicate.

Details of Personal Circumstances

If you wish to apply for a particular service from the organisation you will be asked for a varying amount of personal details specific to you and your family, in order to support your application.

Is my personal data shared with other organisations?

The organisation may, to fulfil statutory or regulatory obligations or in the public interest, from time to time, have to share or disclose personal data with other organisations or entities. Where this is required the organisation shall have regard to the security and integrity of the data, to your rights and will minimise the data shared.

We use Google Analytics to collect information about how people use this site. We do this to make sure it’s meeting peoples’ needs and to understand how we can make the website work better.
