The Vicar, His Wife & The Grocer. Winter rolls into summer and Susan catches a glimpse of life as it should be. Parish life will never be the same again. Oscar nominee, Tony and Bafta winner Alan Bennett weaves a tale of three people and a congregation of the Vicar’s “fans” edged with jealousy, lust, redemption and a grocer with “lovely teeth”! Rose Henderson is “Susan” who on a winter evening stumbles across “life” and a glimpse of reality.
