Directions
Offaly is located in the heart of Ireland, with unparalleled national interconnectivity on the national road corridor (M4/M6/M7) and Edenderry, its second largest town which is only 50 minutes from Dublin International Airport.
Shannon Airport is convenient to Birr and the capital town of Tullamore is arguably the most central town in Ireland, located halfway between Dublin and Galway. You can get to Offaly from outside Ireland by sea ferries or air.

Tullamore and Clara train stations are on the Irish Rail (Iarnród Éireann) Dublin-Westport and Dublin-Galway lines, with trains running frequently throughout the day. There are also good rail links from nearby Athlone in Westmeath and Portarlington in Laois. For full timetables visit: irishrail.ie

Offaly is easily accessible from a number of airports. It’s just over 75 minutes from Dublin Airport to the county. Shannon Airport is approximately 90 minutes to the south and west of the county and Ireland West Airport Knock is under 2 hours away.
