About
The Rock of Loyer Looped Walk is a scenic countryside trail overlooking Moneygall, offering walkers a rewarding route through farmland, hills and local sports grounds near the village. Beginning at Moneygall Activity Park, the trail follows quiet tracks and rural paths with elevated viewpoints across the surrounding midlands landscape. Along the route, walkers pass close to a historic ringfort and enjoy panoramic views stretching towards the Slieve Bloom Mountains, Arra Mountains, Slieve Aughty Mountains and the Devil’s Bit. The loop provides a pleasant outdoor experience combining heritage, landscape and rural tranquillity within Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands.
