What it’s all about

About

Geashill is a heritage village in the east of County Offaly, renowned for its beautifully preserved estate village character and rich medieval history. Originally developed as part of the Digby Estate, Geashill retains its distinctive triangular village green and elegant nineteenth-century layout, making it one of Offaly’s most attractive rural villages. The village has deep historical roots stretching back to early Christian Ireland and the medieval Fitzgerald stronghold, with the ruins of Geashill Castle still standing nearby.
