About
Kilcormac Development Association aims to provide vital community services and to enhance the community both physically and economically. The Kilcormac area’s history goes right to the Mesolithic era, following the discovery of the nearby Lough Boora Mesolithic site, which is dated to 6800-6500 AD. The town was originally settled by St. Cormac who founded a hermitage there.
