Shopping in Offaly

From craft centres and quirky boutiques to shopping centres and large brands, Offaly is home to everything the savvy shopper needs. You’ll find great boutiques and menswear along main streets and some wonderful small Irish brands too. Whether it’s an outfit or jewellery to wear on your Offaly trip or a hand-crafted gift to bring home, there is a shop for you. We’ve taken a whistlestop tour through some of the main shopping towns, giving you a sample of just some of what the county has to offer.

Tullamore

The largest town in the county, Tullamore has a great mix of one-one shops and big brands. Check out the Bridge Centre in the heart of town for lots of big names and independent shops. If you’re looking for the perfect fit, try out Kode or My Fair Lady for both casual and special occasion wear. You can’t go wrong with Galvins or Guy for some of the best in menswear. Don’t forget to check out Linda O’Brien’s accessory studio just outside the town, for some really special one-off creations.

Birr

Definitely a place to stop is The Stables, a wonderful Georgian house with luxury womenswear, homewares and gifts.  Barbers Jewellers provides world class service to its long-standing customers and has open since 1980. Hedgerows is a must for gift ideas and accessories. The Organic Store offers great products for the health-conscious shopper.

Edenderry

Edenderry Shopping Centre is home to both Dunnes and McGreal’s where you are bound to find a great outfit. Check out Anne-Marie Boutique in the town for some really good fashion pieces. McGreal’s also have a store on the main street in the town and it’s the perfect place to pick up gifts and homewares. The town also has some great menswear stores in Carroll’s and Dermot Hall, which cater for everything from golf casuals to three-piece suits
