Shannonbridge Fort has been standing since 1810 as one of the Napoleonic Fortifications along the River Shannon. Today it hosts visitors from all around the world. It’s also home to The River Café, which serves a wide range of snacks and meals to visitors to the area.

The River Café – Shannonbridge Fortifications
Shannonbridge Fort sits on the Roscommon side of the River Shannon, with the village of Shannonbridge on the opposite banks, in County Offaly. The village is well known as a centre for fishing, boating and tourism and is close to Ballinasloe and Banagher.
