Danish Choir Rød Aalboys

Join Danish Male choir for an evening of Scandinavian and Irish song from this group of 22 to 30 year olds travelling Ireland for a few intimate events.

Known for their powerful harmonies and lively performances, Rød Aalboys brings a unique blend of Nordic folk and “snaps”*-songs as well as traditional and modern Irish favourites with a hint of Scandinavia. The repertoire of Eirin’s Isle includes – but is not limited to – The Rocky Road to Dublin, Fields of Athenry and Danny my Boy, whereas the Danish songs are best familiarized on the spot. With a strong focus on audience engagement and community singing, the choir creates an atmosphere that is both entertaining and welcoming – and perhaps educating in the sense of new, Nordic tunes suited for any pub in the world.
