Official opening Saturday 15th August
The Drawing Darú project, facilitated by Visual Artist Claire Guinan, is an exploration of the Book of Durrow through Art. Claire ran a series of workshops with the ladies from the Tullamore Women’s Shed, inviting participants to study and explore the intricate images and calligraphy of this ancient manuscript.
The finished artworks celebrating the creative journey and artistic responses of the group are being displayed during Heritage week.
The Drawing Daru project was supported by Offaly County Council’s Creative Ireland Programme 2026
