Join Birr Castle Demesne for a special evening as we witness a deep partial view of the 2026 Total Solar Eclipse, with up to 98% of the Sun covered, a rare event not seen again at this level until 2090.
This experience includes a train journey to the Great Telescope, a talk from astrophysics experts, and the opportunity to safely observe the eclipse using provided solar glasses and a solar-filtered telescope (weather permittingan alternative live feed of the solar eclipse will take place if weather is unfavourable).
Enjoy full access to the demesne, Ireland’s Historic Science Centre, and Ireland’s Tallest Treehouse, along with family-friendly activities including face painting.
