Heritage Week 2026: A History Tour of Bellefield House and Garden

Join us this Heritage Week for a special afternoon exploring the history of Bellefield, the 28-acre estate in Shinrone, Co. Offaly, gifted to the Royal Horticultural Society of Ireland in 2021.

Led by our Head Gardener, Paul Smyth, this guided walking tour will take you through the house and gardens, uncovering the stories behind Bellefield’s past and the exciting plans taking shape for its future as a horticultural hub for RHSI members and the wider community.

Numbers are limited to keep the group small and the experience personal, so early booking is recommended. Tea and coffee are included, giving you a chance to relax and chat with fellow attendees before or after the tour.
