Myles Gaffney

Myles Gaffney has established himself as one of the leading lights of the Irish Folk Music scene. A professional songwriter from Cork City his music is rooted in his working class background.

Myles burst on to the scene with not one but three Grammy Nominations for his songs “Come Hold My Hand Son”, “Song For Fallen Mother’s ” and “Breathe Easy “. His early writing was recognised as the new voice of Irish Folk music and was awarded the the prestigious Irish Folk Album of the Year in 2017. A third Grammy Nomination came in 2023 with his song “Breathe Easy”.

The Irish music community has taken Myles to heart and has been acclaimed by luminaries such as  Christy Moore, Damien Dempsey and John Spillane to name a few. Myles has also wrote and collaborated with many a well known Irish face such as Roy Keane, Paddy Joe Hill, Joe Duffy among many others.

Myles’ live performances are renowned for their energy and people engagement qualities. Myles shows takes the audience on a journey through Irish folklore with many stories he shares never told before from his vast collection of songs.
