Archivists will explore the elegant wardrobe of Anne, Countess of Rosse (1902–1992), featuring recently rediscovered gowns by celebrated designer Charles James, displayed together for the first time following conservation supported by the Irish Heritage Council.
Through letters, photographs and personal writings, learn about Anne’s connections to Charles James, Oliver Messel and Cecil Beaton in this unique blend of fashion, history and storytelling.
Tours take place from 20–23 August at 15:00 each day.
Pre-booking is essential. Suitable for ages 12+. Please note that Birr Castle is not wheelchair accessible.
